Our Beginnings.
While studying Soſtware Engineering at university, Victor Ambuyo became passionate about web design and how user interfaces shape user experiences and this led him to start working on web projects for fun.
He did a few passion projects and was able to land his first client while in his second year at university. He later developed a friendship with two of his classmates, Marcos and Daniel, who shared the same interests and were drawn to the world of writing code and disruptive trends in technology.
Later, they started working on software development projects and got to ship two of their first client projects a year before they graduated.
Bringing Innovation into the Process.
Upon finishing school, they started innovating and working on different ambitious projects, the majority of which either got rejected or were stuck in development and never went live. This coupled with the Kenyan technology ecosystem fueled their drive to actually innovate more.
All this time, they had rented a one-bedroom apartment that acted as their office and to live and work from in Ongata Rongai, the outskirts of Nairobi.
Progressively, developing and delivering projects posed a different challenge.
Most of the end products needed to be in direct line of visibility of the right clientele and doing just technical work was not enough to validate this.
Pivoting to Digital Marketing
This internal challenge pushed Victor to learn about digital marketing and the different ways in which brands can be made visible online.
This new direction opened a new box into the world of digital marketing and how critical it was for any type of business.
These insights provided the basis to pivot into a fully digital marketing agency that now works with different clients across several industries.
Madavi Agency is the brainchild of this drive – a digital marketing powerhouse that caters to both companies building an online brand and reputation while building towards quality leads that are converted to customers.
